Netflix celebrates its Australian debut

On Tuesday evening, LATTE attended the Netflix Australia & New Zealand Launch Party held at Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney.

Guests were treated to a selection of tapas including mouth-watering Gyoza and satay prawns whilst they sipped on Marvel–themed cocktails.

Netflix CEO Reed Hastings addressed the crowd, and introduced each of the celebrities in attendance, promoting their new shows available on the digital streaming service.

Notable guests included Deborah Ann Woll (Daredevil), Uzo Aduba (Orange is the New Black), Jennette McCurdy (Between), Australia’s Ben Mendelsohn (Bloodline) and Daryl Hannah (Kill Bill).

The highlight of the night was when the stars left their allocated VIP area to mingle with guests and pose for photos.

Each guest received a complimentary subscription to Netflix and a Chromecast device, enabling users to enjoy online streaming on their TV.
