Muang La Resort’s river-island infinity pool

Muang La Resort has constructed a unique river-island swimming pool in remote Laos. Muang La Resort is part of Secret Retreats, a collection of distinctive properties (boutique hotels, villas, boats and restaurants) throughout Asia. The resort is surrounded by two natural hot bathing springs and has recently added the overflowing infinity pool, built onto a small, private island, set into the middle of a flowing river. The island is only 5,000sqm in size and is connected to the Muang La Resort by bridge. The 15x6m river-island swimming pool uses filtered water from the river. Guests can dine at the private dining “sala” area that overlooks the pool and river, accommodating only two-four guests for dinner. Larger groups can enjoy dinner and drinks by the pool.
