Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of Le Méridien Mahabaleshwar Resort & Spa in Western India. Marking the first Le Méridien resort in India, Le Méridien Mahabaleshwar is the brand’s 9th property in the country, located in the Western Ghats. The resort is a few hours’ drive from Mumbai and Pune.
“Le Méridien and India share a passion for culture, the arts and cuisine,” said Brian Povinelli, Global Brand Leader, Le Méridien and Westin. “As our first Le Méridien resort in India, we look forward to inviting our creative and curious-minded travellers to unlock the destination through our locally-inspired programming, culinary creations and of course, relaxation.”
Le Méridien Mahabaleshwar features 122 guestrooms and suites, all with private balconies and signature amenities. The signature Le Méridien Hub transforms the public space into a social gathering place as guests are greeted by a 24-hour curated soundtrack by French Bossa Nova band Nouvelle Vague, illy coffee prepared by master baristas, and cocktails inspired by Europe’s apéritif hour.
For culinary experiences, guests can visit
Latest Recipe, the interactive all-day dining restaurant;
Chingari, the Indian specialty restaurant; the pool-side restaurant,
Plunge Bar; or
Longitude 73, a casual coffee house by day and a vibrant social scene in the evening.

Additionally, Le Méridien Mahabaleshwar offers
