Linneys celebrated the launch of its latest jewellery collection on Wednesday evening at its Westfield Sydney store, hosting an elegant evening in honour of the Little Black Dress. This staple of every woman’s wardrobe was the inspiration for the latest range from the Australian family-owned design house, exuding classic elegance with a designer twist. LATTE, fellow members of the exclusive Luxury Network and devoted Linneys customers enjoyed an exclusive showing, accompanied by Pommery champagne and canapés by Matt Bates of Elite Chefs Sydney. Operations Manager, Nathan Linney, and CEO, David Fardon, welcomed guests with an introduction to the philosophy behind the glittering range, focusing on its timelessness and everyday beauty. Comprising between 50 and 60 new pieces, the new collection is a celebration of Australian craftsmanship; more than 80% of Linneys creations are designed and manufactured in its Australian workshops. Like the little black dress, jewellery designers start with the same raw materials – precious metals, gems and the inimitable South Sea pearl – but it is in the design and manufacture that each version is rendered unique. Unlike the LBD, however, each Linneys piece is destined to become a family heirloom.
