InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa recently hosted its first Singaporean agent familiarisation in partnership with Tourism Fiji and Rosie Holidays. The familiarisation programme allows agents to experience Fiji to better understand product options, logistics and other important factors that will assist with Fiji’s inbound tourism numbers from this new source market. With the direct inaugural flight from Singapore to Fiji launching on 6 April, premium travel agents were invited to the destination by Tourism Fiji for this familiarisation stay. The agents experienced luxury accommodation in beachfront suites. Another highlight was the fully fledged InterContinental Concierge service and the Club InterContinental product which would definitely be appreciated by the more premium customer. In line with Singapore’s outbound market, these were some of the key elements that would be desirable for future Singaporean guests. As part of the InterContinental business development strategy, Area Director of Sales & Marketing, Robert Miletic, will also be conducting business trips into Singapore later this year. During these trips Robert will be meeting with key partners to ensure that the InterContinental brand is represented and positioned to attract Singapore’s premium customers. The group’s time in-house ended with a five course dinner at the award winning Navo Restaurant and was complete with selection of Fijian delicacies and signature dishes that showcased the dining advantage that the InterContinental has above other brand resorts in Fiji. The group was accompanied by Kathy Koyamaibole; Manager Asia Tourism Fiji and Adeline Erasito; Business Development Director Rosie Holidays.
