AccorHotels is bringing its distinct French art de vivre to Southeast Asia with a series of luxurious new hotel openings in the region. Three strategic and stylish new hotels include: – Sofitel Luang Prabang in Laos – Veranda Resort Pattaya in Thailand, from the MGallery by Sofitel collection – Pullman Vung Tau, the fourth Pullman hotel in Vietnam “These three key hotels collectively represent the luxurious diversity and reach of AccorHotels Luxury & Upscale brands, and individually embody the essence of their respective destination,” said Patrick Basset, COO of Upper Southeast and Northeast Asia. “From Laos to Thailand to Vietnam, our new hotels are an elegant choice at these key destinations.” Sofitel Luang Prabang: Heritage and French grandeur Sofitel’s new hotel is located in Luang Prabang, the UNESCO World Heritage site full of colour, charm and timeless splendour. The hotel is located in the century-old former governor’s mansion which has been restored to its full grandeur and majestic grace. The hotel serves as a gallery, housing an array of Indochinese art, a wine cellar and library with one of Luang Prabang’s largest collection of books. Surrounded by a lush tropical garden, Sofitel Luang Prabang boasts 25 clay-roofed suites, ranging in size from 46 to 120 square metres, each with its own private garden, oversized bathtub or private pool. Shuttered windows, hand-carved poster bed frames and exquisite Lao artefacts nurture a sense of old-world nostalgia, enhanced by 21st-century amenities such as flat-screen televisions, Wi-Fi and the signature plush Sofitel MyBed. LE SPA offers treatments and therapies that combine ancient Lao healing techniques with local organic products and the latest advances in skin care. The hotel restaurant, Governor’s Grill, offers a delectable blend of fine western gastronomy and traditional Lao cuisine with its distinctive spices and flavours. Sofitel Luang Prabang also offers a memorable setting for events and meetings. The graceful Lao architecture of the private boardroom and lounge, Kaipen, accommodates up to 70 people, while The Garden can host up to 200 guests. Veranda Resort Pattaya: A verandah to the world Located on Na Jomtien beach, famed for its natural beauty and fishing heritage, this charming boutique hotel combines a stylish modern design with a sense of seafaring life. Thoughtfully designed with a lifestyle-by-the-sea theme, the hotel features 145 rooms and suites boasting the very latest in modern amenities. Gastronomic delights await at the hotel’s restaurants: The Dining Room offers Thai and international cuisine either on the terrace or in air-conditioned luxury, while the rooftop I Sea Sky restaurant and bar, with its ocean views, is perfect for a creative cocktail and seasonal Thai and Western dishes. Guests can also enjoy refreshments at the Pool Bart. The Veranda Spa proposes traditional therapies and signature treatments for an experience guaranteed to rejuvenate and refresh the body and mind. The hotel also offers an array of recreational facilities with its fully equipped fitness centre, swimming pool and kids’ club. The hotel’s two meeting rooms offer state-of-the-art equipment and facilities with 300 square metres of conference space that can accommodate up to 220 persons. Pullman Vung Tau: Seaside five-star The newly-opened Pullman Vung Tau is the first five-star international hotel in this seaside destination. Featuring the largest meeting facilities in Southern Vietnam, and spectacular views of Back Beach and Front Beach, Pullman Vung Tau is especially ideal for leisure and business travellers seeking a quick getaway from Ho Chi Minh city, just a 1.5-hour drive away. The hotel has 356 spacious rooms and suites, and each room category provides views of the city and sea, along with complimentary Wi-Fi. These modern rooms are cocoons of tranquillity and privacy designed for rest, work or play. The unique Pullman bedding concept with memory foam pillows promises guests a restful sleep. Pullman Vung Tau’s all-day dining restaurant Riviera serves a buffet spread as well as an international and locally inspired à la carte menu. At the Corniche Ultra Lounge, guests can relish Pullman Tapastry, the tapas menu concept, or enjoy a selection of international or local wine chosen by a sommelier at Vinoteca. The Lobby Bar provides an intimate yet relaxed ambience, while Pool Bar promises a delicious selection of cocktails and refreshments.
