Conrad Macao, Cotai Central will launch its ‘PINK Inspired 2016’ campaign with a series of ‘PINK experiences and collectibles’ from 1 to 31 October 2016, in support of the Hong Kong Cancer Fund’s Pink Revolution, an annual campaign that raises awareness and funds for breast cancer research. As a Diamond sponsor of the campaign for the fourth successive year, Conrad Macao has pledged to donate a portion of its proceeds to the fund, including from its iconic bear and rubber duck – both, of course, in limited-edition pink.
Throughout October, the campaign will turn the hotel, along with all its floral arrangements and decorations, into a passionate pink. ‘PINK Fridays’ will see staff and management adding a dapper dash of the shade to their uniforms as well as emails and handwritten guest cards.
“Breast cancer is the most prevalent form of the disease among women around the world, regardless of age,” said Bede Barry, Vice President, Hotel Operations. “With this in mind, we are proud to once again lend Conrad Macao’s support to the Pink Revolution campaign as a Diamond Sponsor for the fourth year running. By holding the event we are fortunate to be surrounded by many caring and charitable team members, management and guests, helping to raise both awareness of breast cancer and funds to support the services offered by the Cancer Fund. We will be hosting a series of PINK experiences for guests and staff starting 1 October. Additionally, donation boxes will be available to guests, with cash contributions going to the non-profit charity Happy Garden Association, which was established by cancer patients, their family members and local medical professionals in 2014 and provides cancer education and seminars for the public.”
Conrad Macao has enlisted the support of a number of international and local celebrities to help drive the cause, including Korean actress Carla Lee, alongside other stars who will be revealed throughout the campaign.
This year Conrad Macao has entered into an exclusive collaboration with ARTĒ Madrid, a renowned Spanish jewellery design house with a boutique at Shoppes at Venetian. One lucky guest who stays at the hotel during the campaign and makes a donation to this worthy cause will win an ARTĒ classic White Stones Necklace exclusively for the PINK Inspired 2016 Campaign. Set with synthetic white stones and paved on 925 sterling silver plated with rhodium, this necklace is simple yet unique.
Guests can participate in ‘PINK Inspired 2016’ by making a MOP10 donation upon check-out, enjoying a PINK Inspired Afternoon Tea experience, opting for PINK room upgrades available at check-in, or purchasing the hotel’s iconic bear, in a limited-edition PINK leopard design, or PINK rubber duck. The hotel’s award-winning signature restaurant Dynasty 8 also has a special PINK menu. A portion of all revenues from ‘PINK Inspired 2016’ experiences and merchandise will be donated to the Hong Kong Cancer Fund.
