The upstairs rooms at The Oaks have reopened with a striking 1930’s inspired redesign.

Created by Sibella Court and the team at The Society Inc, the interiors of the upstairs rooms at The Oaks have been restored with a distinctive art deco feel. The new look pays homage to the historical owners of the iconic pub, the Furlongs, along with current owners, the Thomas family.

The new design combines art deco and art nouveaux influences to create striking new interiors, channelling renowned 1930’s creatives. In particular, the large murals in the pool rooms are reminiscent of the bold and colourful designs of famous artists Sonia Delaunay and Clarice Cliff.

The new-look upstairs areas offer a range of choices for events, with options suited for everything from conference meetings to birthday parties. The upstairs includes three unique spaces, which are available for events: The Terrace & Spare Room, The Licensee’s Flat and The Dining Room.

The Oaks is renowned as one of Sydney’s best-loved establishments and has become a Neutral Bay institution since it first opened its doors in 1885.
