Oceania Cruises’ Sirena makes spectacular debut in Australian waters

Oceania Cruises’ newest fleet addition, Sirena, is in Australian waters for the first time following a successful inaugural season in the northern hemisphere after her launch last year.

The 684-passenger Sirena has undergone a US$50 million refurbishment and follows the award-winning design blueprint of her sister ships Regatta, Insignia and Nautica, with amenities such as four gourmet restaurants, six elegant lounges and bars, the Canyon Ranch SpaClub, and 342 lavish suites and luxurious staterooms.

Commenting on Sirena’s first-time visit to Australian waters, Steve Odell, Senior Vice President and Managing Director Asia Pacific at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings said:

Sirena marks her presence in the Australian and New Zealand region through a series of regional itineraries including a 34-day Sydney-to-Sydney circumnavigation of Australia departing 6 March – with highlights including the Whitsundays, Papua New Guinea, Komodo, Bali, Broome, Kangaroo Island and Tasmania.

Following her Sydney-to-Sydney sailing, Sirena will set out from Sydney to Auckland on a 14-day voyage from 9 April, calling at ports including Eden, Melbourne, Burnie in Tasmania, the fjords of Milford Sound, Akaroa, Nelson, Wellington, Napier and Rotorua. From Auckland, Sirena will make her way to French Polynesia en route to the USA for her North American summer sailing season.
