Luxury travel company Abercrombie & Kent, with over 25 years’ experience in expedition cruising, still has limited availability on its fascinating ‘Wonders of Japan’ small ship cruise around Japan and South Korea this May.

Including a variety of coastal and inland ports and rarely seen wilderness areas, A&K has exclusively chartered the luxurious, all-balcony l’Austral for this all-inclusive journey.

Guests will travel in the company of A&K’s award-winning Expedition Team, lecturers and guides, with highlights including: historic Hokkaido village in Sapporo; hiking in the mountains around Lake Shikotsu; cruising the volcanic caldera of Lake Towada; a Kodo taiko drumming performance; off the beaten track Sado Island; and the cobblestone streets of Kanazawa; as well as UNESCO World Heritage listed Gyeongju in South Korea and Kokura Castle on Kyushu Island. Hiroshima and Miyajima are also included, as well as a range of different options in Okayama including a private viewing at Naoshima’s Art Museum.

Tour dates: 18 – 30 May 2017

Twin share per person: US$16,995
