Starting on 27 March 2018, Lufthansa will reintroduce the route between Singapore and Munich. This service will be available five times a week with the most modern long-haul aircraft of the world, the Airbus A350-900. Singapore becomes the first destination in Southeast Asia to receive Lufthansa’s A350-900.
“I am really pleased with this development as we offer another possibility for our customers to fly to Europe via our five-star Munich hub with a premium aircraft. Singapore is one of our key gateways in Asia, especially connecting our customers from Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia and Malaysia,” said Heiko Brix, senior director sales Lufthansa Group Southeast Asia and Pacific. He continued, “Our customers’ demand for flights between Singapore and Europe has seen a consistent growth over the years and now, with the right aircraft type, it makes the most commercial sense to reintroduce this route.”
The new route will be operated five times weekly on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The flights depart in Munich late in the evening and arrive in the afternoon of the next day at Singapore’s Changi Airport. The flights from Singapore leave late in the evening and arrive in Munich early the next morning.
