Opening in the third quarter of this year, QT Queenstown will be the first five-star design-driven hotel to open in the South Island resort town. Designed by Nic Graham, styled by Anna Roberts, with costumes by Janet Hine and art curated by Amanda Love, QT Queenstown will consist of 69 larger boutique designer suites. Like others in the QT portfolio, the Queenstown hotel will feature bold dining concepts – Bazaar Interactive Marketplace and Reds Bar – which are already open, providing Queenstown locals and tourist with a taste of the signature QT quirks yet to come. Bazaar Interactive Marketplace, QT Queenstown’s signature restaurant, reinterprets the traditional hotel dining concept and has unrivalled views of Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding mountain ranges including The Remarkables. Showcasing an international mosaic of foods, diners will be spoilt for choice with seafood, cheese and charcuterie bars, Asian and grill stations, authentic Italian wood-fired pizzas and a dessert bar bursting with creative sweets and pastries. Bazaar chefs provide a theatrical and interactive dining experience to create an interesting gastronomic experience. Reds Bar emulates a contemporary living space that is a mixture of nostalgic alpine and après-ski ambience with equally impressive views. Custom furniture including Eames-era chairs, painting and pops of bold colour are among the design highlights. Resident DJs play late into the night, and there’s an extensive cocktail list with a modern twist. QT’s bartenders deliver from the largest selection of spirits and liqueurs in town, fashioning tantalising cocktails from the list of classic and signature tipples.
