The Jamaica Tourist Board this week released a statement saying it is grateful that the island was spared the onslaught of Hurricane Irma.

“While there was no impact from the storm, we are saddened that our neighbors in the northern Caribbean were affected. Part of the coordination for relief support for the affected islands is being conducted from Jamaica… We are looking forward to continuing the strong growth Jamaica has enjoyed over the past six months and are working on several events that your clients will enjoy.”

It’s business as usual for the country’s mainstay, tourism. Weather conditions continue to be good as visitors are engaged in normal activities in Jamaica. Both airports were operational as all cruise ports. No structural damage to hotels has been reported and resorts are open.

The Jamaica Tourist Board sales team is available to share updates on new airlift, the latest hotel developments, as well as attraction details to ensure during the upcoming winter season.
