Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary & Holistic Spa took home the top regional accolades, winning the title of ‘Spa of the Year – Southeast Asia & the Pacific’ at the 13th Annual AsiaSpa Awards, hosted in Hong Kong on 17 November.

Founded 12 years ago by John and Karina Stewart, Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary & Holistic Spa is located amid a lush, tropical landscape on the southern coast of Koh Samui in Thailand. It offers a holistic wellness experience that integrates healing therapies from the East and West, a beautiful natural environment, inspired healthy cuisine, holistic fitness practices and customised wellness programs ranging from Detoxification to Stress & Burnout, Healthy Lifestyle and Yoga Synergy to Emotional Balance. In 2017, Kamalaya introduced a series of Life Enhancement Retreats for small groups, guided by wellness experts including co-founder, Karina Stewart. AsiaSpa this year featured 26 award categories, judged by a panel of 21 industry representatives.
