Surly’s American BBQ in Darlinghurst, Sydney, set the scene for a fun evening with Visit Dallas and Fort Worth CVB. The saloon bar’s staff donned their cowboy best while serving wine, beer and cocktails made with Fort Worth’s local distillery, TX Whiskey. Some 30 media attendees, including LATTE, were treated to miniaturised American specialties, including nachos, Buffalo wings, corn dogs and, our favourite, deep-fried macaroni balls. The Voice US finalist, Austin Allsup, provided musical entertainment throughout the night, complemented by the venue’s free arcade games.

Executives from both Dallas Tourism and Forth Worth Convention & Visitors Bureau were in attendance, sharing highlights from the dual-destination and giving guests a taste of true Texan culture, style and, of course, cowboys.
