Sally de Souza, Director of Corporate PR and Media Content for Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, visited Sydney with representatives from the brand’s properties, to host a media lunch and share openings and updates.

The lunch, which was held at Bennelong Point Sydney Opera House on Wednesday 11 June 2018, enabled media to learn about the hotel group’s new developments over the next five years. Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group currently manages 31 properties globally, with 17 hotels and 10 residences in the works.

Of significant note to Australian travel advisers is Mandarin Oriental, Melbourne, which is set to open in 2023. The Melbourne property will include 196 hotel rooms and 148 residences operating out of a mixed-use tower on Collins Street, in the Melbourne CBD. Ms de Souza said “ delighted to have a presence in this important market.”

New destinations that will be added to the Mandarin Oriental portfolio include Santiago in Chile, Canouan, Dubai, and Melbourne.
