Queenstown ski field, Coronet Peak, has launched a new limited-run, high-altitude dining experience at the popular on-mountain bistro, Heidi’s Hut. From now until 8 September 2018, the banquet-style dinner will run on Friday and Saturday nights from 5pm to 10pm in line with Coronet Peak night skiing. However, this is not a ski-in, ski-out experience, but a full package with return transport from town and a glass of Veuve Clicquot included. Guests will overlook the twinkling stars of Wakatipu basin with a roaring fire in the background, enjoying a rare and exclusive experience with no more than 40 fellow diners. The multi-course banquet is inspired by Northern Italian fare designed according to the après theme, such as a delectable cheese fondue and braised lamb cheeks, utilising local free-range produce with a focus on limiting food mileage. The package, touted as New Zealand’s most unique dinner, retails through Eventfinda at NZ$135. Image credit © Coronet Peak For more information, click here.
