Delegates at last week’s PCO Association Conference in Melbourne teamed up to get New Zealand on the map at the 100% Pure New Zealand hub. “We did it,” says Sharon Auld, Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) Australia Manager. Hannah Pickford from ASN Events connected the final dot, and she was gifted a special Aroha candle, poured under a full moon and blessed with a Karakia (a Māori prayer). New Zealand’s largest-ever delegation of 19 suppliers was exhibiting in front of a new four-metre-high image and on a new stand, designed by Outstanding Displays at this year’s PCOA conference. “Delegates told us they loved receiving our Manaakitanga – warm hospitality. They enjoyed New Zealand produce including Cloudy Bay wines, Antipodes water and fish and chips. It was hard to miss the Kiwi team. Throughout the two-day event we roved around the show floor with chocolate fish and Bluebird Kiwi Onion Dip chips served on a woven flax basket,” she says.
