Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas has revealed a move into the luxury hospitality sector on the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius with the debut of Anantara Mauritius Resort in Q4 2019. Located on the island’s southeastern coastline, the new resort will be part of an integrated coastal development, just 15 minutes from the airport and close to Blue Bay Marine Park, with its crystal-clear waters, powdery white beaches and some of the best snorkelling and diving on the island. The property will offer multiple dining options including Sea.Fire.Salt (a specialty grill and seafood restaurant), private dining with a wine cellar and a wellness-focused cafe. There will be a 30-metre ozone-based swimming pool and signature Anantara Spa, and the resort will have a strong sustainability focus with initiatives including solar technology, recycled materials incorporated into resort decor and reusing water for irrigation.
