Travel Counsellors has welcomed Megan Larsen-Smith to the Melbourne team in the key role of Supplier Relations Manager. Regional Managing Director Kaylene Shuttlewood said the new role “supports our goal to build strategic partnerships, with deeper engagement and greater recognition with key suppliers”. Larsen-Smith’s position will own and drive the buying strategy for Travel Counsellors in Australia encompassing land, air and sea. She will work to leverage relationships to drive greater partnership opportunities for the business across sales, marketing, events and sponsorships. She will head up the Australian commercial team that includes product buyer Jason Bell-Davey, cruise executive Jane Tanti and product executive Ellie Miller. Larsen-Smith joins Travel Counsellors with over 15 years’ experience in the tourism industry. Her previous roles have covered wholesale, corporate TMC, hotel and airline — all sectors that are key elements within the Supplier Relations Manager role.
