Luxury Lodges of New Zealand reopening dates

The Luxury Lodges of New Zealand has released a tentative timeline for the reopening of its member properties following the coronavirus closures.

The portfolio consists of over 30 members spread across the North and South Islands of New Zealand, half of which have already opened their doors to guests. “Our valued people have been taking care of themselves and their loved ones, learning new skills, creating new recipes, nurturing nature and preparing to delight and surprise guests once again,” said Emma McDonald, Marketing Manager, Luxury Lodges of New Zealand.

“Now many of our Luxury Lodge families have returned to unpacking delicious fresh local produce, sweeping the leaves, dusting the cellar and laying tables in outstanding locations. We are excited to embrace guests in the warm Kiwi hospitality, renown relaxed luxury and to share our experiences of the land and people,” McDonald said. According to an update by the collection on 14 June 2020, the properties are slated to welcome guests back as follows (subject to change):

• Breckenridge Lodge – TBC
• Eagles Nest – open
• Edenhouse – open
• Eichardt’s Private Hotel – open
• Fiordland Lodge – from 1 September 2020 for exclusive use/group bookings only
• Hapuku Lodge – 1 October 2020
• Helena Bay Lodge – TBC
• Huka Lodge – exclusively the Owners Cottage/Alan Pye Cottage in June, from 6 July from Thursday to Sunday open for FIT reservations
• Lake Taupo Lodge – open
• Mahu Whenua – open
• Matakauri Lodge – 1 October 2020
• Minaret Station Alpine Lodge – open
• Otahuna Lodge – open
• Pen-y-bryn Lodge – open
• Poronui – 25 September 2020
• River Birches Lodge – open
