Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) will bring industry leaders together for an online forum next month as the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak in Sydney prevents this year’s planned Cruise360 Australasia conference. CLIA Managing Director Australasia Joel Katz confirmed Cruise360 Australasia would be postponed until a more suitable time but said cruise line leaders would still unite on 27 August 2021 to discuss key issues and provide important updates for the association’s travel agent community.

“Current uncertainty around restrictions in Sydney is likely to continue and will prevent our industry from convening in person,” Katz said. “Despite the difficult circumstances, we are still focused on the critical issues affecting our industry and will bring our wider cruise community together in an online forum.” Katz said several key elements of Cruise360 Australasia would be offered online, while the full conference program would return at a future date. Further details will be announced . Ticket holders for Cruise360 Australasia will be contacted directly and offered an automatic transfer to the future event or a refund where preferred.
