Spicers Retreats has confirmed it will expand its portfolio to include a group of private holiday homes in Australia under a new sub-brand known as Private Collection by Spicers.
Inspired by the pandemic-driven demand for tranquil, nature-based getaways, Private Collection by Spicers will launch in September 2021 with a portfolio of properties in iconic locations. Spicers plan to have over 50 private homes in the Collection within the next 24 months in locations including Hamilton Island, the Barossa and Port Douglas.

Each house and apartment in the Private Collection by Spicers will showcase their surroundings and Spicers’ brand of relaxed luxury, creating incredible stays to be shared with family and friends. Whether it’s a unique beach shack moments from the water’s edge or a cosy snow chalet with mountain views forever, properties in the Collection will have a true sense of place, peace and fun. Two beachside holiday homes have been confirmed for Private Collection by Spicers, both owned by Spicers Retreats founder Jude Turner and husband Graham “Skroo” Turner (Flight Centre Co-Founder and CEO), a couple renowned for their hospitality, and keen property owners with an eye for special locations. Jude Turner hinted at the new collection last month to AFR, saying, “I feel it’s the perfect time to broaden the Spicers Retreat offering, and open up some of our family homes in NSW and Queensland to anyone who might like to book a stay.” Initial portfolio properties include First Point apartment in Noosa and the Beach Shack on Belongil Beach in Byron Bay. A third property on the 14th Glass House Mountain with 360-degree views will also be in the collection.
