The Australian Federation of Travel Agents has announced the return of the National Travel Industry Awards (NTIAs) for 2022. In a move from the traditional July event, next year’s NTIAs will be held on 15 October 2022 at the ICC Sydney. The change of date is a result of availability due to other events being postponed and rebooked.

Dean Long, AFTA CEO “The focus of the 2022 NTIA will be a celebration of what we have overcome and what our businesses and people now represent,” AFTA said. AFTA CEO Dean Long said the NTIAs will have a “new approach bringing a strong focus on our people and businesses at Sydney’s ICC following a tumultuous 20 months due to COVID-19″. “It’s important we come together to celebrate and acknowledge the innovation, determination and resilience of our people and our sector so keep the date free to join us.” “As we finalise our redesigned NTIA in the coming months with our members, partners and Board we have already had extremely positive feedback from those partners of the important role that NTIA has in celebrating Australia’s travel community,” Long said.
