Grupo Vidanta has unveiled the preview itinerary of Vidanta Cruises, Mexico’s first-ever luxury cruise line. Revealed three years ago, Vidanta Cruises has this week set the launch date for its “luxury sailing experience” on 14 April 2022 for its ship, Vidanta Elegant.

Vidanta Elegant‘s three-day Charms of Mexico preview cruise will be offered to guests of Grupo Vidanta’s Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta resort and will showcase Mexican culture and traditions, along the coastline of Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlán.
“When we began the process of bringing Vidanta Cruises to life, we were very clear that we wanted to exceed our guests’ expectations, while also positively impacting Mexico and our people. After an arduous process, we couldn’t be happier with the result,” said Ivan Chavez, Executive VP of Grupo Vidanta.
“Not only have we become the first Mexican developer to operate both on land and at sea, but we are generating direct and indirect jobs that will benefit many communities along Mexico’s Pacific Coast, and we are positioning our country as a world-class tourist destination,” he said.Vidanta Elegant is equipped with 13 cabin and suite options of its 149 berths, including the 49.9-sqm Ultimate Tidal Terrace Suite, 89.7-sqm Presidential Suite and the 133-sqm Imperial Suite with its 40-sqm balcony, at the top-end of the scale. The ship also features 13 restaurants and bars, a state-of-the-art spa and fitness centre, and a lounge with live entertainment.
The cruise line says the ship “leads the industry in many design aspects, including an average of almost twice as many outdoor and public spaces per guest as the world’s top cruise ships; a balcony square footage superior to those of major national and international cruise ships; and a passenger-to-crew ratio of almost one-to-one, while the other top ships rated one-to-five”.
Itineraries beyond the inaugural voyage on 14 April are not listed on the Vidanta Cruises’ website at this time.
