Seabourn went head-to-head with some of Europe’s most luxurious hotels on Wednesday night in Melbourne. An event hosted by the luxury cruise line and La Collection aspired to resolve the age old question: Is Europe Best Explored by Land or Sea?
Dubbed ‘The Great Debate’, the friendly discussion was presented by Anastasia Kotanidis from Seabourn, who highlighted the brand’s exceptional range of experiences and itineraries in the Mediterranean, while La Collection’s Craig Farrell introduced the Hotel Belles Rives on the French Riviera, Italy’s Borgo Santandrea and San Montano Resort, and Blue Palace in Crete.
Over 40 of luxury travel specialists from around Melbourne enjoyed the debate which was split into three parts. Aside from some friendly barbs, the debate did stay very civil.
At the end of the night, attendees agreed that there is no one best way to explore Europe, and that a collaboration between Seabourn and La Collection’s properties is a brilliant way to visit Europe in ultra-luxury style and comfort. The best of both worlds.
Event guests enjoyed a sumptuous Mediterranean-inspired menu, with true European hospitality at Gilson, South Yarra.
Below are some of the travel partners who adjudicated the friendly banter.
