The King’s Birthday long weekend coincided with the local launch of Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts’ newest campaign at Shangri-La Sydney, FindYour Shangri-La, marked by an intimate media event hosted at Altitude restaurant on the hotel’s 36th floor on the evening of 12 June.
Delivered via a five-course menu showcasing Australia’s finest produce through an international lens – with wine pairings – the event communicated key messaging effectively: your Shangri-La experience is unique as you are.
Known for its contemporary interpretation of traditional Asian hospitality, Shangri-La Sydney delivers exceptional service alongside premium accommodation. To move further into the bespoke experiential space, the Find Your Shangri-La campaign encourages guests to discover their ultimate escape, whether that be spa and wellness, urban discovery, or gastronomic delights.
Taking Inspiration from James Hilton’s 1933 novel, Lost Horizon, the Shangri-La guest experience seeks to create a home-away-from-home paradise.
The Find Your Shangri-La campaign is imbued with a similar spirit. Supported by an artistic video that channels whimsy and wonder with every frame, each character represents Shangri-La’s dedication to personalised offerings.A flower finding a moment in the sun represents the dusty traveller looking for a moment of respite. A hummingbird flitting through a lush garden echoes a gourmand spoilt for choice by the chain’s culinary offering. Shangri-La’s exceptional customer service team is creatively visualised through a scene of hotel staff icing over a hotel pool for a set of penguins. The fitting of a couture gown symbolises Shangri-La as the destination for celebrating life’s special occasions. Similarly, a toy train hurtling along a train track is a metaphor for the jubilant and adventurous nature of children on tour.
Underpinning the entire campaign is a renewed offering of themed dining experiences, spa and wellbeing services, and fantastic customer relations teams that facilitate exterior experiences.
