Oceania Cruises grabbed the spotlight at the 2024 Good Food Guide Awards for NSW, ACT which were announced in Sydney last night. Oceania Cruises is a Co-Presenting Partner, and this was the second successive year the cruise line had thrown its support behind the event. Twelve months ago, Oceania Cruises presented two awards at the celebratory event, and this year, three. Hosted at the Art Gallery of New South Wales – Sydney Modern, LATTE was one of a handful of invited media to attend as a guest of Oceania Cruises. “Oceania Cruises has the finest cuisine at sea, and we’re really pushing forward with our finest dining.. and this partnership exemplifies that,” Jason Worth, Vice President, International Sales, Oceania Cruises told LATTE at last night’s cocktail reception.

“Partnering with Good Food allows us to spread the message and explain what we’re about – beautiful food, fine dining at sea, in a relaxed country club atmosphere,” Worth said. “With our newest ship Vista, and our upcoming ship Allura, both feature a Culinary Kitchen featuring individual workstations, offering guests the opportunity to participate in a cooking class at sea. Those ships also offer new dining concepts such as Ember, dishing up inventive American cuisine and our new bakery concept, along with AquaMar Kitchen which has been a big hit with our guests.” Presenting the prestigious Awards, Worth told guests – which included the likes of celebrity chefs Neil Perry, Matt Moran, Kylie Kwong, Peter Gilmore and host Adam Liaw – that Oceania Cruises “tries to do a little bit of what you do, at sea”.
The partnership enables Oceania Cruises to reach a wider ‘foodie’ audience as the awards are marketed and branded as ‘Oceania Cruises’. Among the awards and ‘hats’ handed out on the evening, Worth presented the the winners in the following categories:
  • Oceania Cruises Service Excellence to Alice Dwyer of Pipit in Pottsville in the Northern Rivers;
  • Oceania Cruises Drinks List of the Year to Yellow Billy in Pokolbin, Hunter Region, and
  • Oceania Cruises Chef of the Year to Josh Niland of Peterman (in St Leonards) and Saint Peter (in Paddington).
