Based on Signature Travel Network’s data, travel advisors should keep the following in mind for travel in 2024:
  • Booking windows are returning to normal with fewer last-minute bookings compared to 2023.
  • Demand is increasing during winter and shoulder seasons, leading to a flattening of the traditional July/August peaks.
  • Travellers are opting to slow down the pace of their trips and stay longer in one single location.
  • South America, Asia, Africa and the South Pacific are regaining popularity among travellers, while trips to Japan and Iceland are selling out quickly.
  • Trending hotel markets in the US are New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Oahu, Boston, and San Diego, and internationally, London, Paris, Mexico City, Barcelona, Tokyo, Rome, and Los Cabos.
Cruising — as a whole — is growing and trending; Signature has reported a 25+% increase in sales from 2023 to 2024.
Expedition cruising is expected to grow in popularity in 2024 and beyond. Signature reports sales are expected to increase 65% in 2025. In addition to travel insights, Sharpe also shared in the update that its member base is growing. In H1 so far, Signature has welcomed three new members to its community, including: The Cruise Experts Agency, Sojourney Travel and Classic Travel Connection.
