Lindblad Expeditions has revealed the names of its two new Galapagos Islands ships as National Geographic Gemini and National Geographic Delfina. The former Celebrity Cruises’ fleet-mates previously operated as Celebrity Xpedition and Celebrity Xploration before Lindblad acquired the pair last month. “Following separate revitalisations, both ships will embody the spirit of adventure and extreme comfort that are synonymous with Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic, and will celebrate our deep connection to the islands, Ecuador, and its people,” Lindblad Expeditions said.

The 48-guest National Geographic Gemini will operate the 10-day ‘Exploring Galapagos: One Week Sailing the Islands’ voyage from Quito to Guayaquil starting 14 March 2025. The itinerary is scheduled to depart more than 40 times during its inaugural calendar year. The 16-guest National Geographic Delfina enters service from 14 February 2025 on the 10-day ‘Galapagos by Catamaran: An Intimate Voyage’ itinerary, which also operates between Quito and Guayaquil.Due to its intimate size, National Geographic Delfina is also able for charter. Both journeys can also be sold with the six-day extension to Machu Picchu.
