Singita has appointed Marcelo Novais as International Sales Manager taking care of partners in Africa, Mexico, South America, China and South East Asia, effective 1 August 2024.
Originally from the Pantanal area in central Brazil, Novais developed a deep love for nature and wildlife, fuelling his passion for travel from an early age. With over 20 years of experience in the travel industry – both in Brazil and for nine years in South Africa – he has gained experience in inbound and outbound operations, sales, product development, supplier relations, destinations and product training, marketing, and business development.
The warmth of Africa and the allure of Cape Town captured his heart, and after many trips to various regions of South Africa and other countries in Africa, he made Cape Town his home in 2015. Novais is passionate about promoting Africa’s rich cultural heritage, vast landscapes and diverse wildlife, blending his Brazilian roots with a deep appreciation for his adopted home.
Novais is based in Cape Town and will be working to develop these markets and look after trade partnerships in the region.
