Cathay Pacific has debuted its new Business Class Aria Suite aboard its retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, on the airline’s Hong Kong-Beijing route. The new offering took to the skies on 18 October following its big reveal at a special event at Hong Kong International Airport two days prior. The upgraded aircraft will be progressively deployed across other regional and long-haul routes. New Economy and Premium Economy cabins were also introduced aboard the aircraft. All aim to heighten the customer experience, according to the airline.

The Aria Suite retains some of the more popular features of the former Business Class offering such as the reverse herringbone lay-out with bed and storage provided. New features include a 24-inch 4K ultra high definition screen, a side console with built-in wireless charger, a variety of power outlets as well as greater privacy with a suite door and movable partition. The launch represents part of an HK$100 billion investment into Cathay Pacific’s fleet over the next seven years. This will include upgrades to the airline’s cabin products and lounges as well as a number of innovations around digital leadership and sustainability. “At Cathay, we believe in moving people forward in life,” Chief Customer and Commercial Officer Lavinia Lau explained. “This purpose goes beyond simply flying customers to their destinations; we are deeply woven into Hong Kong’s identity as a global aviation hub.”The next three years will see further seat products rolled out, with a new first-class experience aboard its Boeing 777-9 fleet and a new Business Class flat-bed product aboard its Airbus A330s next on the cards. “Through our investments in cutting-edge aircraft, innovative technology and groundbreaking facilities, we are dedicated to moving beyond expectations – in the air, on the ground and in every experience we create,” Lau said.
