Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Edge arrived in Australia for its second season in the region this week, with the 2,908-passenger vessel set to sail 17 itineraries from homeport Sydney. The arrival of the Edge Series ship marks the return of the iconic Magic Carpet – the world’s first cantilevered, floating platform at sea where you can dine and drink while taking in the sights of the season’s destinations which include 26 ports across Samoa, Fiji, American Samoa and Tonga. “We’re thrilled Celebrity Edge will be returning to Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific for a second season, providing guests an unmatched cruise experience designed to connect them closer to the destination,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, President of Celebrity Cruises. “Celebrity’s elevated holiday options are redefining travel, especially in this region where guests can enjoy the Edge Series difference.”

Stand-out features of the vessel include modern two-story Edge Villas with plunge pools and the signature Infinite Veranda staterooms, which cleverly merge indoor and outdoor living. On the dining front, there are 29 distinct restaurants, bars, and lounges with globally inspired menus. All suite guests can exclusively access The Retreat as well as its private restaurant, Luminae, an exclusive lounge and sundeck with a dedicated team of butlers and concierges on-hand 24/7. In addition to the Magic Carpet, the vessel features three-level culinary and entertainment space Eden as well as The Spa, a vast 2044 sqm wellness destination which includes treatment rooms and the SEA Thermal Suite as well as a Kerastase Salon, group spin classes and yoga.
