Crystal has finalised an order for a potential third new ocean vessel with shipbuilder Fincantieri, with the 690-passenger ship representing a major milestone in the cruise line’s latest chapter. Crystal confirmed the first two new ships in June. The three new ocean ships will join Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity in the Crystal fleet which was acquired by A&K Travel Group in 2022. This third new vessel is slated to launch in 2032.
“We’re pleased to bring an expanded fleet to our guests, offering even more ways to explore the world with the extraordinary service and style synonymous with Crystal,” said Cristina Levis, CEO of A&K Travel Group.
The order builds on a strong history of collaboration with the shipbuilding firm according to A&K Travel Group Executive Chairman Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio. “Exercising this option and agreeing to build a third ship together showcases the trust and partnership between my family and Fincantieri, dating back to Sitmar Cruises and evolving through Silversea to our present vision with Crystal’, he said.

On social media, Levin remarked “we don’t get bored at AKTG,” thanking her teams across Crystal, Abercrombie & Kent, Akorn DMC and Cox & Kings for their “hard work, loyalty and dedication.” Similar in design to sister ships Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, the 61,800 gross tonne ship will offer all-suite accommodation with private verandas including a popular single occupancy category, specifically designed for solo travellers, which comes complete with veranda. Like its sister ships, it will include a promenade running around the ship’s entire perimeter for ocean view strolls as well as the Casino de Monte-Carlo concept (signed back in July 2024) which will debut aboard Crystal Symphony this month and Crystal Serenity in December. Dining options will include Nobu’s only restaurant concept at sea UMI UMA, Riccardo Giraudi’s Beefbar with dishes created in collaboration with world-renowned chef Massimiliano and Raffaele Alajmo. Debra Fox, Managing Director of Abercrombie & Kent Australia and Asia, EVP Sales Crystal APAC and Strategic Advisor, added: “We already love this cruise line, and now another 3 good reasons to adore Crystal even more.” In July last year, Crystal also revealed it will also introduce two expeditions ships to its fleet in the future.
