Global International Travel in collaboration with Belmond, hosted an exclusive client evening of storytelling and conversation at the A-Esque Atelier, in Melbourne late last month. The gathering, moderated by Grant Pearce, Creative Director of Esquire Australia and Commercial Content Director of Harper’s Bazaar Australia, brought together Global clients to immerse in Belmond’s philosophy on “The Legendary Art of Travel” and its commitment to connecting discerning travellers with the world’s most extraordinary destinations. The event was unique for the industry, giving Global clients a front row seat and direct introduction to the Belmond brand. It was designed to spotlight the Belmond legacy and how the Global team imbue this in every journey – offering more than just a destination, but a curated experience with meticulous attention to detail.

A-Esque is a local Melbourne atelier renowned for handmade luxury leather goods. The night was designed to highlight the artistry shared in A-Esque’s craftsmanship and Global’s bespoke travel philosophy. Guests were welcomed into the atelier with the gentle tapping sound of leathergoods being hand-made, and also enjoyed hand-crafted canapes by Food Creative prepared on-site, reinforcing the evening’s theme that “the art is in the detail” across every touchpoint Pearce offered personal insights into the luxury industry and his experiences with Belmond, sharing anecdotes about his most memorable journeys – including those at Caruso and Hotel Cipriani. He then introduced Belmond representatives Prisca Bondi and Katie Metcalfe, who spoke on the brand’s history, the transformative impact of LVMH ownership, and Belmond’s enduring commitment to creating exceptional travel moments. Clients were taken through the diverse portfolio of the Belmond experiences – on land, on rail and on water.
The event emphasised Belmond’s strategic partnership with Global International Travel and their Bellini Club membership, which allows them to offer exclusive benefits to their clients, highlighting the synergy between the two brands in delivering unmatched experiences.
