“One of the best networking events we’ve attended” was a common theme spoken by the Owners of Link Travel Group Member agencies last weekend at The Reef House Adults Retreat in Palm Cove.
Business meetings at the two-day event gave Link members more chance to share ideas and learn from each other as well as giving them the opportunity to review, access and comment on the Link financial performance of FY24. They also discussed future initiatives being launched in the coming weeks and months, such as a new Link intranet platform, dubbed the “Linktranet,” and a new TIME Mentor Scholarship program.
Scott Darlow, General Manager of Link said every meal was an elaborate celebration and were selectively sponsored by the generosity of The Reef House, AmaWaterways and Viking.
In show of a deep partnership, the Viking team presented every Link attendee with a complimentary 8-night river or ocean cruise for two anywhere in the world. Keira Smith and Lee Seifken from Viking generously presented the cruise to each delegate, instantly guaranteeing they became the most popular people in Palm Cove on the weekend,! Darlow said.
“When you plan events such as this you always look to raise the bar, we have successfully done that this year in terms of the event, and I take great delight in some of the newer members commenting on how they appreciate such open and transparent access to the groups performance,” he said.
“It’s also extremely pleasing when all members, even industry stalwarts say they have all learnt something from their fellow Owners”.
Darlow continued: “I and the rest of Link are extremely grateful for the generosity of The Reef House, AmaWaterways and Viking who supported the event.”Lead image: The Link Advisory Board, from left are: Scott Darlow, David Goldman, Anthony Goldman, Penny Spencer, Danielle Galloway, Andy Buerckner, Karsten Horne and Chris Goddar.
