Singita has confirmed its expansion into Botswana for the first time through the addition of Singita Elela – revealed exclusively by LATTE last week. “As our presence in Africa gradually and naturally grows, we are privileged to be expanding into Botswana’s Okavango Delta. Rich in life of every shape and form, this remarkable region was an intuitive extension of our 100-year purpose,” the company said. “Our new lodge, Singita Elela, opening in 2026, will embody the Delta’s fluidity in all ways. Adapting as nature itself does, we are moving our design and guest experience forward in honour of this new region and its ever-evolving landscape.”

Speaking with LATTE at the recent Goldman Group Conference, Ross Couper, wildlife photographer and content creator for the conservation-based luxury ecotourism operator, said local community will play a significant part of Singita Elela. Singita guests will also have exclusive access to one of the largest concessions in the region – 170,000 hectares of pristine wilderness on a year-round basis. “The curiosity and eagerness around Elela is exciting to see – and while at this early stage, we’re unable to provide any specific details regarding booking dates, rates, design, or room configuration – we promise to reveal more as soon as we can,” the luxury operator added.
