1000 Mile Travel Group has awarded Virtuoso Certified Travel Advisor (VCTA) Scholarships to two of its North American Independent Travel Advisors (ICs): Amanda Hietter and Kirsten Billhardt.Originally intending to grant just one scholarship, 1000MTG said the quality and commitment demonstrated by advisors within the network led to a decision to expand the opportunity to another talented advisor. “At 1000 Mile Travel Group, we pride ourselves on supporting advisors dedicated to professional growth and the delivery of exceptional client experiences,” said Christy Shafer, 1000 Mile Travel Group Senior Vice President and General Manager. “Amanda and Kirsten exemplify the caliber of advisor we are proud to have in our network. We look forward to watching their journey through the VCTA program and the impact their enhanced expertise will bring to their clients.”

As part of their scholarship each recipient will receive full tuition for the 2025 VCTA Program, a prestigious training program designed to elevate the expertise of luxury travel advisors and enrich the client experience. The intensive program combines expert-led sessions, real-life scenario training, and mentorship to refine advisors’ skills in custom trip planning, client retention, and leveraging the Virtuoso network.“I’m honoured to receive a scholarship for the 2025 VCTA Program.
