A new 2025 river cruise from Tauck will visit traditional Christmas markets along the River Seine – its fifth Christmas market-themed river cruise and its first in France. The launch of the eight-day Seine: Holiday Magic voyage represents the latest development in the ongoing expansion of Tauck’s river cruising presence in France. In late October, the company announced plans to build two new riverboats to sail on itineraries along the Rhone and Seine. Taking place aboard Tauck’s ms Sapphire, the itinerary will begin in Paris, where guests will spend three nights and two full days in the city. Highlights will include visits to Paris’ Christmas markets, including those in the Tuileries Garden, explore medieval art at the Cluny Museum, or discover the gothic Sainte-Chapelle.

It will also feature visits to Rouen, Les Andelys and Vernon. The itinerary includes a private tour and cocktail party at the Château de Bizy, a private lunch and afternoon tea at Château Vaux-le-Vicomte and a choice between a tour of Normandy’s D-Day beaches or the Rouen Fine Art Museum. The festivities continue aboard ms Sapphire where seasonal décor, musical entertainment and interactive holiday activities led by a local artist will provide the Christmas atmosphere. Tauck will operate five departures of The Seine: Holiday Magic in 2025, with fares starting from AU$6,790 AUD* per person plus airfare. The fare includes all shore excursions, gratuities, onboard beverages (adult and otherwise), meals, taxes and fees, airport transfers and more. The company already offers two holiday cruises on the Danube as well as holiday cruises on the Rhine and the waterways of Belgium and Holland.
