Refurbished Tonle Pandaw to set sail on Mekong in November

When it returns to service, the Tonle Pandaw will feature 14 suites, each spanning 40 square metres with a private deck and sweeping views from French windows on both sides of the ship. Inside, guests will find Cambodian fabrics, reclaimed Burmese teak wood panelling and top-tier amenities, as well as a dedicated butler for each guest.

Other new touches will include a spa, fitness centre, library, cocktail lounge and expansive outdoor deck spaces.

With an ultra-low draft of just over one metre, the ship is able to novate low-water areas along the river.

Previously known as Pandaw III, the ship originally set sail in Burma in 2003 before moving to the Mekong after a year.

When it returns to service, it will sail two itineraries along the iconic river – a three-night journey from Saigon to Phnom Penh, Cambodia and a seven-night Classic Mekong cruise between Saigon and Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Excursions will be led by expert guides and will include sampan rides, cyclo tours, and tuk-tuk adventures, along with on-board cultural entertainment.
