Speaking one-on-one with LATTE last week from Singapore, Viterale says Raffles Sentosa Singapore is “more than just a hotel opening”.
“It’s a property that will create a whole new buzz around Singapore, centred on the island of Sentosa, while continuing the legacy of Raffles in an entirely new way,” Viterale said.
That “buzz” was clearly evident when Viterale revealed the 1 March opening date on social media three weeks ago and he was flooded with comments and more than 600 ‘likes’.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”169935″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1739248745594{margin-top: 15px !important;margin-bottom: 15px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1739247521967{margin-top: 15px !important;margin-bottom: 10px !important;}”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1605829610747{margin-bottom: 10px !important;}”]

The Royal Villa has four-bedrooms but two additional neighbouring villas can be added to increase the footprint even further.
“When you’ve been to the new property if feels like you’re in your own world.”
“Our villas are most generously sized, starting at 210 square metres, with its own pool and very spacious.”
“We have had some trial stays and those visitors have asked to stay longer. That’s a promising sign. When they’re at the property, they want to understandably stay longer.”
Viterale says its not just the luxury of space that has appealed to those testing the highly-anticipated resort before its soft opening, but the lush landscaping.
“Guests love to be in a setting surrounded by nature – trees and birds chirping. It’s very beautiful.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”169943″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1739250667889{margin-top: 25px !important;margin-bottom: 15px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”168158″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1739247668205{margin-top: 15px !important;margin-bottom: 15px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1739247481027{margin-top: 15px !important;margin-bottom: 15px !important;}”]The dedicated website for the property has yet to be launched, however Viterale said the resort has already secured a “substantial number of bookings” after guests had learned about the upcoming opening.
“We have almost met our bookings target for the month of March without a website, which I think is brilliant,” he revealed to LATTE.
“We’ve had an incredibly very positive response, and as soon as we launch the website we know that demand will be very high.”
Michelle Wan, Cluster Director of Communications for Raffles Sentosa Singapore and Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa said that after 138 years since the original Raffles hotel opened in Singapore, “people are extremely curious.”
“Many Singaporeans as well as international travellers and repeat clients who understand the history of the brand are excited about the opening,” she said.
Wan also noted that importantly, the arrival of Raffles Sentosa Singapore aspires to extend the typical length of stay in Singapore by visitors.
“Whether you’re here or a sister property, or another hotel, this opening may entice a traveller to enjoy our dining experience and stay longer.”
“The impact of this opening is actually more significant than any other hotel opening because it enables us to extend the length of overall stay.”
And due to the intimate size of the resort, the Raffles Sentosa Singapore has already secured a number of property-wide buyouts, be it for weddings or luxury corporate events.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”168157″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1739248425418{margin-top: 15px !important;margin-bottom: 15px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1739248958512{margin-top: 15px !important;margin-bottom: 15px !important;}”]”From the end of March up to the end of the year, we have several buyouts,” Viterale told LATTE.
Speaking more generally about the resort, Viterale added “I think the Australian market is definitely going to be one of our top as they love the nature, heritage, wellness the environment and the space. This is all complemented by the Raffles’ legacy of service.”
A grand opening for Raffles Sentosa Singapore will be held in a few month’s time.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1560229304502{margin-bottom: 10px !important;}”]
