Uniworld Boutique River Cruises has named award-winning actor, comedian and author, Rachel Dratch, will join the luxury river cruise brand’s first-ever Women-Only Cruise on 24 August 2025. The voyage was first flagged in July last year.
Best known for her work on NBC’s Saturday Night Live (SNL), Dratch will treat cruise guests to a special comedy set and Q&A onboard the S.S. Catherine while they journey through the heart of France.

The Women-Only Cruise is a one-of-a-kind voyage sailing through Burgundy & Provence, with special programming, activities and entertainment. Dratch will headline with a 45-minute comedy performance, followed by a Q&A the next day, giving guests the chance to engage with her in an intimate setting.
Dratch was part of the SNL cast from 1999 to 2006. She is beloved for her comedic brilliance and iconic characters, including the memorable “Debbie Downer.”
Beyond SNL, Dratch has appeared in a variety of iconic television shows and films, such as King of Queens, 30 Rock, Shameless, Bob’s Burgers, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Click, Just Go with It, Wine Country and more. Dratch recently made her Broadway debut in POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive, receiving a Tony nomination for her performance as Stephanie. Dratch is also an author, publishing a critically acclaimed memoir that gives readers a sneak peek into the highs and lows of her successful career.
As the sailing makes its way through the villages of France, guests can participate in offshore excursions not regularly found on the itinerary, such as a Candlelight Concert in Lyon, a visit to the International Shoe Museum and a trip to the ancient Roman aqueduct of Nîmes at night for a spectacular light show. Other excursion highlights include lavender weaving, truffle hunting and a scenic bike ride to the Chartreuse.
