Destination Vancouver has partnered with Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) as an Executive Partner in Australasia, aiming to strengthen the city’s presence as a prominent cruise destination. This collaboration will highlight Vancouver’s position as a cruise hubs and will help showcase its exceptional pre- and post-cruise offerings to CLIA’s network of 6,000 travel agents across Australia and New Zealand, along with the association’s global cruise operators and supporting partners. Joel Katz, CLIA Managing Director in Australasia, welcomed Destination Vancouver on board. “Vancouver is one of the world’s most spectacular cruise ports and a gateway to the incredible coastal scenery of British Columbia and Alaska,” he said. “Destination Vancouver can help unlock enormous possibilities for cruise travellers, and we look forward to working together to create fantastic new opportunities for Australasian travel agents and their clients.” Meanwhile, Dianna Schinella, Destination Vancouver’s In-Market Representative for Australia, highlighted the significance of this partnership. “This is an incredible opportunity to strengthen our engagement and connect with CLIA’s cruise specialists to highlight everything that makes Vancouver an exceptional pre- and post-cruise destination,” she said. “From its stunning natural beauty to its vibrant culture and world-class experiences, Vancouver truly has so much to offer, and I can’t wait to work alongside CLIA and its members to inspire more travellers to explore this iconic city.” Destination Vancouver plans to participate in several upcoming CLIA initiatives, providing travel agents with dedicated training, marketing resources, and sales support, including opportunities to join famil trips through the Vancouver Specialist Program.
