HX readies for 130th anniversary with suite upgrade offer

HX Expeditions is gearing up to celebrate its 130th anniversary in 2026, with a range of special offers, exclusive activities and memorable moments throughout the year that invite guests to be a part of this milestone occasion.

Among the already announced festivities are the launch of a limited-edition 130th Anniversary badge honouring the company’s very first expedition voyage between Hammerfest and Spitsbergen in Svalbard in 1896.

Now HX is confirming a series of special culinary surprises, science lectures, a limited edition ocean bottle and the launch of a 130th anniversary cocktail to be served throughout the milestone year.

A variety of special experiences will also help mark its strong pedigree in the world of exploration. As of 2 April 2025, all new guests booking can take advantage of an exclusive opportunity to upgrade their cabins for 2026 expeditions. This exclusive offer allows guests to upgrade to a Suite for the price of an Arctic Superior Cabin.

HX’s official 130th anniversary historian and storyteller Magnus Winvold will join select voyages for exclusive talks about the expedition cruise line’s rich history in the world of polar exploration.

A special lecture will also be held about the history of Northern Lights capture over the last 130 years as well as a special lecture on the evolution of scientific data capture.

A photo competition will also be part of the fun, with guests invited to showcase their photography skills.

Meanwhile, HX will also be setting a special fundraising target to support conservation and sustainability projects through its dedicated charity the HX Foundation.

From now until 30 June 2025, HX is offering the aforementioned suite upgrade offer for new bookings with additional exclusive discounts and packages yet to come.
