Charter-only river cruise company Transcend Cruises has revealed the names of its two newest ships which are set to launch in Europe next year. Transcend Connect will debut in April next year, with Transcend Evolve to follow in the spring with both targeted at the meetings and events market. “The names we’ve selected reflect Transcend’s B2B ethos,” Transcend’s Chief Visionary Officer Matthew Shollar said. “At our core is our ability to create a unique river cruise product and venue that is specifically conducive to connecting a group on the spectacular waterways of Europe, hence the name Transcend Connect. “We also intend for our clients’ guests to have positive, transformative group experiences onboard our vessels and thereby, the name Transcend Evolve.” Both 120-passenger ships have been designed by Tillberg Design of Sweden, with construction currently underway at the Den Breejen Shipyard in the Netherlands. Staterooms aboard the 135-metre vessels will be identical and can be paired to convert to suites. The ships will have five venues, among them The Forum, a two-story amphitheatre for presentations and performances, and the Studio meeting space.
