Unforgettable Croatia has bolstered its Australian presence with the appointment of Carmela Pascuzzi as a European Travel Specialist who will join Aurore Bertomeu in the Melbourne office.
The new addition comes in response to rapidly increasing demand from the Australian market which prompted the luxury small ship cruise operator to open the Melbourne office last year.
Pascuzzi brings more than two decades of industry experience to the role, having worked across companies including Qantas Holidays, Flight Centre, and Wedding Destinations.
“I’m passionate about travel and love working with different cultures,” she said. “It is such a beautiful part of the world and a place that is very appealing to Australians, so I am delighted to be joining the Unforgettable Croatia team to help more people experience the best of this region on a small ship cruise or bespoke land and cruise tour.”
Both Pascuzzi and Bertomeu will work alongside Business Development Manager Sarah Whitty, who has represented Unforgettable Croatia in Australia for the past seven years through The Hotel Connection.
Co-Founder Graham Carter noted the significance of the expansion as demand from the local market continues to soar. “Over the past two years Australia has been steadily growing to the point that one in five of our guests is from this market,” he said. “And with Australian bookings up 27% and revenue up 39% year-on-year, Carmela joins the team at an exciting time.”
Starting April 23, Pacuzzi will primarily focus on the recently launched 2026 program, which includes 144 guaranteed departures across eight itineraries and ships, including the new 36-guest MS Aretis. With 95% of 2025 cruises already sold out, she will also promote the company’s bespoke land and cruise tours across Croatia, Slovenia, and Montenegro.
The Australian expansion comes as Unforgettable Croatia forges ahead with global growth plans, recently opening a new support hub in Cape Town, South Africa.
