The reaction to the launch of Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ new suite categories aboard its newest vessel Seven Seas Prestige has been overwhelmingly positive, according to the cruise line, with the Skyview Regent Suite now sold on 12 of the 13 voyages released last month.
Speaking at International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) Asia Pacific 2025 in Singapore, Senior Vice President International & Consumer Sales · Regent Seven Seas Cruises & Oceania Cruises Steve Odell highlighted the rising demand for luxury cruising.
Of the 56 ships coming online between 2024 and 2028, around 30% cater to around 100,000 guests. “So small luxury experiences are on the rise,” he said. “You see the hotel industry coming into this business as well and that’s great for all of us in the cruise industry because they’re introducing their guests to cruise, and we believe that once someone comes to cruise, they’ll stay in cruise.”
Since launching the new suite types aboard Seven Seas Prestige last month, Odell said bookings have been pleasing, with strong demand being seen, particularly for the Skyview Regent Suite, the largest luxury cabin at sea, and also for the two-storey Skyview Suites.
“12 of the 13 available dates for the Skyview Regent Suite are already sold,” he said. “That shows there is absolutely demand for this kind of experience at sea.”
While he pointed out that, at this end of the market, price is “not the issue”. “It’s value for money,” he said, adding that the new offerings are perceived by luxury travellers as being “extremely good value” despite the US$25,000 price tag.
“So we’re very confident about going on sale in a month’s time with the whole season,” he said. The entire 2027-28 program will be released on 23 July.
