Air France will launch its La Première first class cabin experience on its Paris-Singapore route on 15 July, making it the second route to showcase the new premium product.
Speaking to media at International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) Asia Pacific in Singapore this week, Commercial Director South East Asia & Oceania of Air France-KLM Nicolas Ricard shared more details of the latest La Première offering which debuted on the French carrier’s JFK service on 8 April.
“We have 11 destinations around the world, and Singapore is the second destination for this latest product,” he said.
This new installation features Air France’s most ambitious design to date. “It’s the longest suite on the market, 3 metres long,” Ricard explained, adding it has five windows per suite and an area of 3.5 square metres.
Design innovations abound with storage, floor-to-ceiling curtains for complete privacy, and a convertible seat that transforms into a fully-flat bed. It also has an additional armchair and remote-controlled window shades and lighting.
Gastronomy is also at the heart of the offering, according to Ricard. “As a French airline, it’s a very important element of the experience,” he said. “We work with a line-up of Michelin-starred chefs.” Air France is collaborating with Singaporean chef Julien Royer for its La Première and Business cabin menus on flights departing from Singapore. Chef Royer is known for his three Michelin-starred restaurant Odette in Singapore. La Première offers additional luxurious services both onboard and on the ground. “In Paris, the guests are welcome to a dedicated Vestibule lounge check-in area,” Ricard explained. They can enjoy an Alain Ducasse restaurant in the lounge, or a complementary Sisley spa treatment before taking a Porsche transfer to the aircraft. Arrival experiences are equally elevated with immigration carried out in the pick-up vehicle, and a breakfast served in the arrival facilities while guests await their luggage. New private suites complete with butler can be reserved for three-hour slots, with a limo transfer to the destination address. Los Angeles and Tokyo are next in line for the La Première roll-out, although the launch dates are still pending.
