Nobu Hospitality has its eyes on potentially one, if not two, hotels in Thailand as part of a new venture with Asset World Corporation (AWC), a Thai integrated lifestyle real-estate group. The framework of the agreement between the two parties will initially involve the opening of the first Nobu Restaurant in Thailand at Empire Tower, AWC’s flagship mixed-use office complex in Bangkok’s CBD. It will be the fifth Nobu eatery in Asia, joining restaurants in Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and Manila. “Following this launch, AWC will also invest in one to two Nobu Hotels within five to six years,” the Thai company said in a statement this week.
