The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali hosted its annual UNICEF Check Out For Children Challenge charity event on Friday, 16 October. Indonesian singer, Citra Scholastika, took to the stage of the Mangupura Hall to entertain the audience while performer Bastian Steel added an element of fun to the evening with his boundless energy. HOPE – A Feel-Good Evening with Citra Scholastika and Bastian Steel was a concert raising funds for UNICEF, with all ticket sales directly donated to the charity. The project specifically vaccinates and educates impoverished children across the Asia Pacific region. The concert was a celebration for children from all walks of life. The Westin also transported a group of children from Dana Punia, an orphanage located in Singaraja, north of Bali. Other seats were allocated for sponsors and members of the local community turned out in force. For the past 20 years, The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali under the Starwood banner has partnered with UNICEF to raise funds for causes that benefit impoverished children around the world. In the Asia Pacific region alone, the UNICEF Check Out For Children Challenge has supported the immunization of thousands children against a number of preventable diseases.
